iATKOS v7, HP Pavilion dv6 Laptop Graphics Problem
I have a problem getting iAtkos v7 to work on my HP Pavilion dv6 laptop.
The installation goes well, but if want to boot up to the OS for the first time the the screen goes black and the sound is messed up. No fancy Apple intro for me.
My Specs (from HP's website):
HP Pavilion dv6-1160en
Microprocessor 2.2 GHz AMD Turion X2 Dual-Core Mobile Processor RM-74
Memory 4096 MB (2 x 2048 MB)
Video Graphics ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650
Video Memory 1024 MB
Hard Drive 320 GB
Display 15.6" Diagonal High Definition HP Brightview Display (1366 x 768)
Network Card Integrated 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet LAN
Wireless Connectivity 802.11b/g WLAN
Sound Audio Playback SRS Premium Sound
From what i've understood Snow Leopard doesn't support my graphics card.
Is there any way around it, or it just isn't possible?
I found this netkas.org » Drivers for Radeons 46×0/45×0/43×0 if it can help.
Thank you for your help.

You can always install it at least with svga only. From netkas's post it reads as the card is supported with graphics enabler. I think you should give it a go, but remember to use a AMD enabled install way! AMD is always different from a plain vanilla install.
Post Thanks / Like
How do I install it with SVGA (Super video graphics array? So that i connect an external monitor and the video isn't messed up?)
What and how to use Graphics enabler, and what options are different in an AMD enabled install way?
Could you briefly explain it or lead me to a tutorial that does please.
Thank you replying -sam
