hi there guys and girls how you doing?
well i been trying to get this iATKOS S3 v2 10.6.3 to work all morning but i dont think im doing something correct.

Basically i manage to install it and it says install successful and all but when it comes to loading i get this image.

    my configuration is:

Could this be a BIOS problem - i have read somewhere people set to IDE or something. Or maybe a PARTITION FORMATING problem. I choose the top option but no luck either.

    I am choosing these options:

It is mostly custom selections, BIOS setting if you've gone through installation successfully.
Boot with -x -v for possible error message.
    Do a clean install.

ok so this is what i did to fix it.

Changing the SATA BOOT from IDE to U..something. - makes APPLE WORK
    but Windows dont load.

Changing it back to IDE makes windows work but not Apple.
is there are way to make both work even tho they on seperate harddrives?

I am having the EXACT same problem. It install successfully. Will not boot.

At first I thought that I could update with S3 but then I read on another forum that whilst, technically, this is possible no has have yet been able to do so.

My HHD is disk1s2 but no matter what I do it keeps finding disk2s2 which doesn't exit on my system. I have a 2nd HDD with Win7 on it - but I read somewhere that I need to remove or disconnect the ALL OTHER HDDS's and peripherals; Scanners, Printers, Cameras, Cell 'Phones, Flashsticks..., whatever eske is externally connected, proceed with a fresh install and try with default install.

Then during boot it fails. "still waiting for root device". I try the different bootloaders with and without patches ..........., same error only this time it states that it cannot find disk0s1. Disk0s1 would surely be my Win7 HDD.

There has to be something something amiss with the build, yes!!??

    Default hmmm

sounds like you didn't install the necessary sata drivers during install

see if you can boot the cd

    press F8

select the location you can install

    add the flags -f -v

it will load at some point if the drivers are included in Iatkos for your machine it will say (i'm guessing AppleNforce here) got boot device diskxsy major blah minor blah)

this will be reported by some agent (for example ApplNforceATA) and that will be the kext that you need to install... you should be into your system by now and hopefully you have network support and can download the proper kexts

    hope this helps

remember, that when you use cpus=1 you disable all of the other cores, than this is just a temporary solution
