iAtkos S3 V2 - Crashing
Hi everyone
I followed a guide to install iAtkos S3 V2 on a nForce motherboard (InsanelyMac Forum -> Installing Snow Leopard 10.6.4 Using iATKOS S3 Version 2 Snow Leopard 10.6.3 Install DVD on a GPT SATA HDD on an Asus P5N32-E SLI Plus MOBO).
I followed it to the letter and it installed properly first time. However whilst I was cloning my drive onto the other partition (before updating to 10.6.4), it crashed with a "You need to restart" screen. It did that once before too while on Safari. Its was totally random from what I could tell. That messed up the partitions and made it panic on bootup so in Windows I wiped the drive and decided to start over.
Started over, same thing happened. Its one of the kexts in there that isnt compatible I think, and being a newbie I really haven't a clue which it is. Seeing as it doesnt give any information when it crashes apart from telling me to press the reset button.
My specs are:
CPU: Intel E7400
Motherboard: XFX 780i 3xSLI
RAM: 4GB Crucial Ballistix 800MHz DDR2
GPU: Asus Nvidia GTX 480
Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE
Hard Drive (For OSX): 500GB Hitachi SATA 7200rpm
