iatkos s3 v2 on compaq c700 success?
After 5 days reading i decided to install iatkos s3 v2 10.6.3 on my compaq presario (intel x3100).
Installation went smoothly (in the list i selected only x3100, laptop components, ethernet, ps2 and didnt tick any of the modified kernels) but there was not display. I connected to an external monitor (wouldnt give me max resolution) and updated without a problem. Restarted and the 2 screens were grey.
Restarted 2-3 times, disconnected the external display, started with -v, started with ignore cache (something like that) and bingo!!!!
Resolution 1280x800 and everything working except from atheros wifi, tap on trackpad and audio jack). After 2-3 hours i tried to restart but the grey screen returned. 2-3 restarts but the grey screen was still there. I think I am pretty close to an almost perfect installation. Any ideas or should I reinstall?

update: reinstalled without x3100 option and I got a stable system with max resolution. Updated successfully with apple update but after restart the grey screen returned.

Problem solved: I post in case anyone has the same problem.
I removed the atheros wifi card and managed to update system without problems. It was the atheros card that was causing the panics after the update. Only problem now is the cpu running pretty hot with 10.6.5 (80 C) but i guess its a matter of time to find the correct kext.

Don't update/upgrade so quick with custom KExt!
