Default I need some help - kernel panic errors nothing works

I have tried just about everything! EmpireEFI, pre patched downloads, boot132, even went out and bought os x 10.6 snow leopard! usb method and DVD method, asbout 50 tutorials/youtube tutorials nothing can help me

I'm not by any means a tech dummy, I know my terminology, just not so much how to put it into play. Is there one who has a dsdt patched that may work with my system? or knows a way to get it working?
Every time i try i end up with system uptime in nanoseconds/kernel panic errors.

I have a toshiba a300/c01 with the following specs:

    Satellite A300 C01
    Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 @ 2.24GHz
    Video: ATI – HD 3650 512mb
    Memory: 4gb DDR2
    BIOS: Insyde H20 Version 1.9
WIFI: Intel wifi Link 5100 AGN
    Chipset: Mobile Intel PM45 Express Chipset with 82801IBM I/O Controller Hub (ICH9M) i.e PM45 ICH9M

If there are any more details on my system specs or details on errors im receiving needed, please let me know and i will give them to you. Thanks.
If you can help me with aaaany method that has a remote chance of working I would like to know please.

    Thanks in advance,
    Mick

    Hi,

I have a Toshiba Satellite A300-1id, and i have the same problem.
Nothing worked, until i use IATKOS S3, with which i obtained my first successful install, but when i reboot, i have an ACPI error, because i loose DSDT definitions.

I tried everything, i bought SL 10.6.3 Retail DVD, and now i'm making my on hacked and fixed DSDT (extracted it from ubuntu that i have installed) and will use a Boot that supports user DSDT, like iBoot Supported 2.0.

If you wanr to edit your own DSDT download DSDTSE, and go to Tony OSX86 Forum to download iBoot versions. Try them.

That S3 is a very good release.
Usually, if you made it through the installation process successfully then most likely it should run. I would recheck all those custom selections to be sure. DSDT would be needed but, in many cases, if your hardware is close enough then you can run without it, at least for booting up.
Your hardware specs is the same/similar with @organgrinder?

Sort of similar but still a few things that might make a difference when booting. Ill try that out and let you know how it goes.

Default Tried all options but KP IOAPIC 0x20 vectors error at boot

After a successful install of iAtkos S3 in Toshiba Satellite A300-1id, always get kernel Panic due to 0x20 vectors at reboot.

I changed all options possible at the installation, used patched kernels, minimum kexts or even none (just default settings), and after successfull installation message it reboots and the above Kernel Panic happens.

I downloaded the iAtkos S3 Version 2.0 and obtained the same result (successful installation, kp at reboot).

    Error Details:

    System uptime in nanoseconds: 1477230887

I also changed all options in BIOS, but there aren't many options in Inside H20 Bios Rev 3.5.
Bios options that i have are:
Core Multi-Processing: [Enabled] (Disable= 2nd core is disable)
Dynamic CPU Frequency Mode: [Dynamic] (Dynamic or Always Low)
    Pointing Devices: [Enabled] (TouchPad)
    Buit-in LAN: [Enabled]
    Wake-up on LAN: [Disabled]
    Critical Battery Wake-up: [Enabled]
    Illumination LED: [Enabled]
Execute-Disable Bit Capability: [Enabled] (Disable= force to always return 0)
    Intel Virtualization Technology: [Enabled]
    Intel Turbo Memory: [Enabled]
    Legacy USB Support: [Enabled]
    Wake on Keyboard: [Disabled]
    Intel Dynamic Acceleration: [Enabled]
    USB Sleep and Charge: [Disabled]
SATA Controller Mode: [AHCI] (AHCI or Compatibility)

My opinion is that DSDT loaded has the word 0x20 too long and that causes kernel panic, it should be 0x02. But how to correct this in DSDT that is loaded, if i can't boot?

    Help would be apreciated.

It looks like you're doing all the homework already.

So, I would disable some of the CPU extra features first. EDB, IVT, IDA, also disable legacy USB.

    Use some boot options. Try

    -x -v cpus=1 busratio=20

to see if you could pass that KP

    Keep us posted.

Smile Successful installation and reboot with -v-x cpus=1 busatio=20

I manage to reboot successfuly due to the use of the following switches:
    -v -x cpus=1 busratio=20

I first tried to apply the above switches after disabling extra features in BIOS, and i reboot successfully in secure mode, but mouse and usb's didin't work.

Then i tried diferent switches and diferent BIOS configurations, and what i understood is that my BIOS configurations do not affect reboot, but i must use -v -x cpus=1 busratio=20 always.
For that reason i enabled all extra features in BIOS and with those switches i rebooted successfuly in secure mode.

But i nedded to fix cpus=1 issue, and fix usb, and that's why i reinstall iAtkos S3 v2 and use diferent switches.

I only can reboot with -v -x cpus=1 busratio=20, but i did managed to fix usb problems, but TouchPad doesn't work. I used a usb mouse to test the system, usb ports, etc.

I will reinstall again to see if i can make sound, mic, webcam, etc work.
From previous installations i stated that if i select any ethernet or wireless cards the installation would fail. I need to find kext to fix that too.

But my question is? How can i fix the system in the way that i don't need to use -v -x cpus=1 busratio=20 switches to reboot?

    Congrats on your hard work
    Well done job.
Will be very short post because I broke my system
You don't need to reinstall too many times. Additional kext installation may be what needed.
Try to drop the -x out of there with whatever way you can, so between cpu and busratio see if one of them could be deleted (actually you should try cpus=2), the -v just for verbose, and if not then it could be in Boot.plist so you don't have to enter every time.

Now maybe it's time for your DSDT to help in hardware support.

Thank you for letting me know you've got it
