Sorry Jwiz for losing my patience in last post. There any many usb adapters out there that will work with a Mac system.
Try to figure out what brand LAN or wireless card you have. Since I do not know it, I would just be taking a guess. But be patient and let us know what works and what doesn't , take notes so you don't repeat the same mistakes and share them on here, so others can learn, and then you end up giving back to the community.Last edited by dolphans1; 10-16-2011 at 07:08 PM.

Jwiz, I just purchased a USB Ethernet Adapter for $9.00 came with free shipping. It comes with a mini CD with the driver in it to install and it works great.
Very easy to install.

ok i have a intel wifi link 5100 and after doing some research it seems that no kexts exist that are compatible with snow leopard. so i will probably buy that usb adapter

i saw those but people said they were not compatible with 10.6 but i decided to give it a try anyway and it did not work

yes i used kext utility. Also, do you remember what site you purchased your ethernet adapter from?
