Sry ratvn for posting in your thread. ok try this...install kext with kext helper or copy kext into "extensions" and run pfix to fix permissions. download and run netbookinstaller 0.8.3 rc4 and deselect all option except "Generate a system specific dsdt.aml file" and reboot. this worked for me and was able to get higher resolutions above 800x600. good luck and keep us posted.

Thank you for coming in. You don't have to say Sry. It's not my thread though

I just try to give him a generic mode resolution change, and no specific kext/method for the video.

So if you know a kext that works for him than that is very good.

    Cheers

    Default Netbook CD

    Asj,
I tried the netbookinstaller 0.8.3 rc4 as described in your post. It appears that it updated my dsdt file but I am still stuck at the same resolution. I also tried to delete all kext that were associated with any video or GMA kext. I am willing to try anything to get the resolution fixed. Also, now that I have made all the changes my trackpad now works for moving the mouse but does not allow me to click.

Thank you again for all the assistance,
    J

it might be a matter of getting the correct kexts installed for your hardware. you can try Kexts.com to see if there are any kexts for your system and reperform the same step till everything is working. also did you check if your video kext is even loaded. open terminal and type "kextstat" without quotations. if it isn't loaded you might just need to repair permissions.
