Help on Snow Leopard USB install. Reboot loop!!
I have just joined the forum so would like to say hello all.
I have built myself a quad core pc and was going to install windows like everyone else but started to read up on hackintosh. Specs below.
MSI G31TM-P35 MOBO
Intel Q8300 Processor
3GB DDR2 (1+2)
ATI Radeon HD 2600
IDE 80GB (WIN VISTA OLD INSTALL)
I have made a bootable USB using a mates Macbook using "Snow_Leopard_10.6.1-10.6.2_SSE2_SSE3_Intel_AMD_by_Hazard" but when I boot the USB it never gets to the installer three lines of text flash up on the screen for about half a second then the system restarts itself. I have tried filming the screen but cannot get a good enough look to see what it says. All I can ever seem to see is AHCI because it is in capitals!
I tried to boot the USB on a couple of other computers at work and it boots into the installer first time.
Any ideas on this would be appreciated as I would like to take home a Hackintosh instead of a boring old vista machine!
