Hi I am new to hackintoshing but have ran into a few minor issues:

1st: I got my apple retail dvd of snow leopard 10.6.3 yesterday. tried doing a fresh install using modcd to boot, which it booted to the installer just fine. Just when it came time to start clicking continue to select the hard drive etc, even before getting to that point when the installer reads the disc I get the error "Mac OS X Installer can't read the disc", and about it being dirty and I have setup bios with AHCI and changed my boot order as well.

2nd:I have installed iAtkos 10.6.3 with success, read online to download legacy kernel for the 10.6.8 combo update which I downloaded from Apple installed, didn't reboot, installed the kernel package, and ran the kext wizzard and then rebooted. Everything loaded fine but took away my ethernet. So I went back to 10.6.3 and decided to do somewhat of a slower update, 10.6.6 and work up, lost internet with that.

I am for a loss, any suggestions..
