There seem to be some very old threads on the subject (one here and one on Insanely Mac) and I'm wondering if there have been any new methods that ease the process for this particular laptop.
HP tells me the Envy 15 supports UEFI or has it enabled (not clear what they meant); a friend of mine said he's heard that it boots BIOS first, then UEFI. Does this ease the way any? Is there any chance I could install from a vanilla OS X DVD? The best I can find on the subject is this guide but I have concerns over the RAM (I have 6 gigs in the laptop and I'm not sure how to remove just one of the three sticks) and the fact that my DVD drive is external attached by USB (no internal on this beast).
Can anyone help, even it's just to point at the necessary other forum/wiki posts?
