First of all, are you saying that you can no longer boot into XP? If that is the case, download GParted. When you run GParted move the boot flag back to the Windows partition and when you reboot Windows should boot. As for your error, it could be anything. You need to specify exactly where it hangs to get some kind of idea what the problem is. Another thing, I used iBoot and I'm currently having problems installing because I use MBR and not GUID. This will more than likely be a problem for you when you get that far. Sorry that I can't help you with your Snow Leopard problem, but at least you should be able to get XP up and running again.
    Specs:
    Dell Studio 1749
    Intel i3-330M
    Intel HM55 Chipset
    Intel HD Graphics
    6 gigs RAM
    Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200
I will specify any other specs if needed
