It's mostly with your BIOS setup and/or your custom selections.
Try this boot option:
-x -v cpus=4 (or cpus=1 and busratio=20 if needed).
See how it goes.

i used cpus=1, you right, it booted the cd properly and it installed properly, but once its at the end of the installation and it reboots...it displays:
No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key

This is no where near your OSX problem yet.
Your BIOS first boot device is set?
Did you install Chameleon boot loader? And clear the partition for a clean reinstall?

okay. So I have followed your instructions and was able to make it even further from the completion of the installation. Now I am stuck on the silver apple screen where it freezes. I restarted 3 times, so i assumed I needed a different bootloader. so on my next clean installation I chose to install chameleon v1 instead of v2 cuz no response after silver apple. Now i have completed that v1 and it does the same thing but nothing... the grey apple screen. so now my last option im assume is the last bootloader provided on the custimization list. am i doing everything right so far?

Chameleon v2 should be good enough.
Are you rebooting with -x -v cpus=1?
What are your custom selections?
So far, it's still around all those things per my earlier post.

To enable my iATKOS cd to boot, I pressed F8, typed cpus=1. After the installation with chameleon v2 was done, It was able to bring me to the screen where I see the chameleon on top center and my Disk in the middle of the screen, I clicked it, loads...and it just freezes on the sliver apple wallpaper..
To answer your earlier questions, My BIOS has very limited controls, the only one I see relevant to this is Boot order. So when I was installing my CD, i put CD/DVD ROM. When I finished with the installation, I chose Internal HArd Drive.
Yes I did clear the partitions, and I installed Chameleon through the customization list. I'm going to start again with chameleon v2, play around with it until your reply, thanks so far, appreciated

Boot with that until you got to OSX desktop.

alright, in the middle of the installation with chameleon v2. btw, it only started working for me when I didnt add anything to the customization list, I know that if this works I'm will have to find kexts to enable my devices to work, right? example: wireless, sound, video card

So I'm assuming to insert "-x -v cpus=1" on the screen where i see the chameleon logo and my hard disk, when i did this data was being displayed rapidly for 5 seconds then just stops into a black screen, am i supposed to wait for something to happen?
