    Default Hardware configurations?

    Hi all!

I was considering following one of the Gizmodo/Lifehacker guides to installing OS X on a machine, but I was just wondering what the hardware configurations would need to be. I plan on doing this with multiple machines (one being a Dell Mini 10v that I know works based on the guides), but I was just wondering what needed to actually happen in order for it to work. I know that it is hard drive independent (as long as there are no partitions over 1TB) and RAM independent, but I was just wondering about the processor and graphics. I was considering installing 10.6 on a Shuttle PC with a quad core Intel CPU and the ATi HD 4850 graphics with 512MB of RAM. I chose that card because I could remember hearing about issues with graphics in the netbook area, so I figured I would choose one that is already supported by OS X. If I am using the two things detailed above, could I install OS X on to my shuttle using the way of this guide? How To: Hackintosh a Dell Mini 10v Into the Ultimate Snow Leopard Netbook - Dell mini 10v hackintosh - Gizmodo

    Thanks!

    Hi there,
I think you are good to go,..

Thanks to hackintosh community now, that most of the core cpus and latest video card are supported. Even if not, we do some tweaking, taking boot ,kernel and kexts in and out, patching here and there, and that is how the hackintosh grow. If you success, you share your setting or your tweak.
Even after install, when using a hackintosh on non mac pc, we still need some help and tweak. It is still a hack.
If we want support from osx ,we buy imac (Also if you using osx hackintosh much, you might considering buy a mac).
    Here we support each other.

So go and do your hackintosh, come back here if you lost or find something..
    Good luck!
    either way,the is the winner..
