    Default Hackintoshing the LG X-130

I used the method described in several places for the Samsung N130 (I wonder if this is not a rebadged Samsung). I am always loathe to just commit on these things (fear of bricking, etc) so I did this to an external USB-enclosed 2.5" SATA drive. When I am happy that everything works, I will switch it with the internal Windows drive.

    A. GETTING MEDIA READY
    Did this on my mac:
    (1) Restore a Snow Leopard DVD to an 8GB flash drive.
    (2) Run NetBootMaker
    (3) Read everything about it everywhere and downloaded the things I would later need.

    B. PREPARING LG FOR THE INSTALL
    Did this on the LG:
    (1) Plugged 8GB install flash drive into available USB
    (2) At startup, press F2 for BIOS
    (3) Move over to "Advanced" tab
    (4) Check setting "USB BIOS Legacy Support = <Enabled>"
    (5) Move over to "Boot" tab
    (6) Select "Boot Device Priority" disclosure triangle (Press enter)
    (7) Highlight "Usb Device" and press "+" to move it to the top
    (8) Press F10 to save and exit
    (9) When the bootloader appears, plugged external enclosure into available USB

    C. THE INSTALL
Clicked and followed instructions on OS X install media. Notably, the external onto which I was installing was initialised with GUID partition.

A little while later, OS X was up and running on the machine. Bluetooth works.

    D. AUDIO
Using instruction for Samsung to get audio working, I got the audio up and running as well:
    (1) Installed XCode (it is in the Optional Installs on the media - no need to download)
    (2) Installed AzaliaAudio, Full Sound, HDAEnabler and VoodooHDA
    (3) Restart, sound works.

    E. EVERYTHING ELSE
Now, for the bad news. The things that don't work:

    WiFi
Device is Ralink 3090. Driver list on their site goes up to 10.5 and installing it helped nothing. WiFi still not working. I do have a Zydas USB adaptor that is working with their software installed. I would rather not have to plug a USB into it every time I need to network though. News of a better updated driver or an alternative would be fantastic.

    Ethernet
Device is Realtek PCIe FE 8136. Installed the 1000 kext and the network prefs report when the cable is in or out but no connection is available (despite saying "Connected"). I have checked my network settings so it aint them. Any ideas would be appreciated.

    WWAN
Device is Ericsson F3607gw. I have no idea how to get it to work. Any assistance would be fantastic. I told the SysPrefs it was a SonyEricsson 3G but nothing - no connect. Same settings otherwise are used as I do on my real mac to connect using a Huawei.

    Video Out, Card Reader, Sleep
Not yet tested these - not important to me right now until the above is sorted. Will report back once I have.

WWAN Update: Remembering from years ago when none of these things really worked properly, I went on over to an old favourite - Ross Barkman's modem scripts at taniwha.org.uk and get the generic modem script.
    Installed into /Library/Modem Scripts/

Then, System Prefs -> Network. Selected the device, changed it:
    Telephone: Internet
(internet is my APN for my ISP)
    Account: & Password: <both blank>
    Advanced...
    Modem Tab
    Vendor: Other
    Generic HSDPA CID1
    X Enable Error Correction
    Ignore dial tone

    PPP Tab
    DISABLED: PPP Echo Packets
    DISABLED: TCP Header compression

Then, finally, edit the script itself and find the line that writes the CID and change appropriately. Mine is *99# and not *99***1#
    WAS: write "ATD*99***1#\13"
    NOW: write "ATD*99#\13"

    Save, connected.

Trackpad scrolling seems to be working as well

Update: the WWAN worked precisely once. Never worked again.

Then, I called my best friend Mr Google. We chatted for hours. The modem script needs another minor fix:

    write "AT+CFUN=1\13"
must be inserted soon after the reset / attention command. Now, it is faultless. This modem is also an Assisted GPS (A-GPS) like in iPhones and others. Once I have tidied the script up, I will post links.

The wireless is not working, Ralink 3090. Does anyone have any ideas at all?

Ethernet is working - the latest (correct) kext sorts it out. Video out also works. Webcam does not - any idea how I would go about that?

Installing CS3 was a nightmare (and always is for even authentic Mac SL).

    How I did it (v1):
I am doing this on an external HD at the moment until I get everything right so I trashed the HD again and installed Leopard on my real mac then installed CS2. Then I upgraded to Snow via the Netbook install method.

CS3 won't install ID and AI if the minimum display settings are not met. I met these by connecting an external monitor, going in to Sys Prefs - Displays and on Arrange I moved (by dragging) the menu bar to the external, which was at 1280x1024. BE CAREFUL DO NOT MIRROR - results are catastrophic. If you do, post here for the solution.

Then I installed CS3 as follows (which I also funny enough had to do for my Mini Intel running Leopard) and I assume Rosetta needs to be present for the installer to run:

    (1) I put the CS3 CD into my MacMini G4 PPC running Tiger.
    (2) Connect via AppleShare to that CD
    (3) Run the setup. No errors about having to contact Adobe
    (4) Answer all the questions and let the installer run - could take as much as an hour to complete.
    (5) DONE!

My next problem is authentication but I doubt this is the correct forum. My understanding is that my license for Adobe allows 2 activations. I have only ever used one - on my Leopard Mini. Authentication just will not happen. I am thinking maybe Adobe won't authenticate a Hackintosh install. I will eventually try Via the telephone.

    Default Same same but different

Hello im currently doing the same thing as you and installing osx on my lg x130
but im not so good at mac. My biggest problems are that i can't get the sound to work nay idea how to fix that?
The only thing I can see is that I have output sound but no input.

Then my general smaller problems are the same as you have, no webcam, no wifi.

For the sound: that Samsung instruction needs to be followed:

    Install OS X
    Install Developer X Code
(On the install disk >> Optional Installs)

Then follow the exact order for the Samsung:
