Hackintosh Snow Leopard 10.6.1 by Hazard install won't start on ASUS M3A78-EH motherb
Hello everyone. I am new on this forum but I desperately want Mac OSX on my PC so I decided to post this message. The problem is that the installation of Hackintosh Snow Leopard 10.6.1 by Hazard won't start on my ASUS M3A78-EH motherboard. I can see only grey screen with an apple and progress indicator showing the loading of the setup process. THAT IS IT! Nothing more. The service menu and utilities never load. Please help me someone.
My PC's params are:
AMD Athlon X2 64-bit 5600+ (2,9 GHz)
Motherboard ASUS M3A78-EH AMD 780G/AMD SB700
4 Gb DDR2-800 memory
ATI HD3850 1 Gb video
HELP! THANKS!

Your specs looks ok. Try to boot with -x -v to see where it hang.
What is your DVD drive type?

Where can I find manual to find out what these -x -v commands mean? I only begin to experiment with hackintosh installations...

There is nothing wrong with beginning to OSX installation.
There are guides over OSX tutorial sections that you could review to get familiar with it.
You would need to use boot options at Darwin boot screen for possible error message of where OSX installation stuck.
Try with this first:
-x -v
and see how it goes.

Thanks a lot, I'll try and post the result or a screenshot.

boot issue
Hey bud how are you, the problem is that the cd installs 64bit by default and you prob have 32bit. As a result, try booting with this command. -v -xarch=i386. What this does is it tells the boot show me all txt as you boot and boot me/install me on 32 bit mode. That should do it for you.
Luck!
