I have a problem , before I did anything, I booted into Ubuntu and now my mouse cursor seems or appears to be frozen in the upper left hand corner of my screen when I boot to Mac Snow leopard OSX, I booted in and out 3X ad still the same thing, any tricks to unfreeze it....?

Not sure why its doing it, its the first time its done this.

I can boot into the 32bit partician, but not sure what is the difference between the 2. The both look identical, in the first partician I can boot into it and have no issues with the mouse.

I still do not quite understand what you mean by dragging it into the text utility. I have a folder on my desktop, but if I try and drag and drop it wont go. It just doesn't seem or look like the right kind of box that should be accepting anything.

Can you post a snapshot link...?

    Thanks,

    d-1

To install kext, just drag/drop the kext into it

So did you fix your mouse issue?
You could put kext utility in application or utility folder.
    Or dling OSX86 Tools.

Okay, you have to remember, I have never used MAC up until this point. I assume you mean that I can drag"kext-utility" into the applicatios folder and be good with that.

As for the mouse issue, that really puzzles me.

Ubuntu see's 2 bootable versions of MAC OSX, between you and I, basically I cannot tell the difference between the two when I boot into either one of them. To me, they look identical, but when I boot into what I think is the 64 bit version of MAC OSX, the cursor is frozen solid and I can't do squat.

When I boot into what says is 32bit, the mouse cursor s fine.

Ok, I've just use OSX a few weeks longer than you do.
So the mouse cursor is related to OSX then, maybe driver/kext issues?

The two bootable OSX recognition is not correct though. It can't be two if you installed it onto one partition. SL by itself could be running in either mode and only took one partition. Maybe disk table is wrong in Unbutu?

While you're in OSX, open Disk Utility and see how it recognize your partition/volumes. It will display all of your disks and volumes, and you can check out.

Yes, drag or copy that utility to the folder and see if you could use it there.

Are you willing to do remote, I let you see what I have by Team Remote access.

I am about to throw the towel in, spent many hours reading, watching tutorials, some are nice others are bad, because you cannot see what their doing.

Never could figure out how Kext Utility works.

    Alright.
You have to teach me how to use Team Remote access then.
But for now, how about try OSX86 Tools, also over kexts.com. Its interface is easier to use.

I need some times to fix my multiple boot chain on my main system.

I miscalculated the chain links and broke my winXP along with 3 Linux's, and only have win7, SL with 2 Leopard's left

So let me know if that work for you.

Sent you a PM to your inbox, let me know when you can connect.....

P.S. - I resolved my mouse issue and all I did was unplug my PS2 mouse and used a USB one and the problem appears to be fixed......

I am able to dual-boot on my desktop PC with Unbuntu, but with my Lenovo it will not. If I run MyHackInstaller on my Lenovo PC, it locks up my mouse pad and cursor.

I did install OSX86 tools on my laptop, you'll have to show me how to use it.

Just did a fresh new install of Mac OSX and I ran myhack installer, after install with Empire EFI and it boots standing alone, I get the nice grey apple logo splash screen and all, but when it boots to desktop, neither my mouse nor keyboard would work (both PS2 connectors).

I have an extra USB mouse and resolved the issue with my mouse, however keyboard is a PS2 connection and I can't type.

If I load the Empire EFI CD it boots into Mac OSX and the keyboard works just fine, with PS2 Connector.

Does anyone know why it does this and can anything be done to fix this problem, other than buying a USB keyboard.

    Thanks,

You may need the VoodooPS2. Try to get VoodooPS2controller.pkg version 0.98 for your kb/mouse.
You may need to delete applePS2 to prevent conflict. There should be instruction with the package.

So what is your OSX installation now? I'm lost there

EmpireEFI with retail DVD? Myhack installer? Or a distro?

I used the Empire EFI Regular CD to get my install going. I used a new full version Mac Snow Leopard OSX 10.6.3.

I then ran myhack install inside Mac Snow Leopard OSX and rebooted.

MyHack installer created a bootloader that allows me to boot into Mac OSX.

However when I do, I loose my keyboard and mouse.
