GTS250 Graphics Card
Sorry that my first post is a question.
I have OSX 10.6.6 up and running on my Acer. Everything works except using the dual screen setup. The OS does not recognize the second monitor.
Now under OSX 10.6.5 it worked and both screens were recognized.
Has anyone had the same problem when upgrading???
Thanks in Advance

Figured it out. Installed new driver and Voila! both screens work.

GTS250 Driver works on OSX 10.6.6. dual monitor support

First things first, lets get the video card working.
1. The thread I found the good kext (mac equivalent of a driver) for the GTS-250 is here and the actual driver dmg is here.
2. Also get kext_utility here.
3. Copy the driver and kext_utility over to your new hackintosh (I used a USB stick to do this).
4. On your hackintosh, install the kext_utility (open the dmg, drag to Applications)
5. Open the driver dmg, get the appropriate driver (512MB for me).
6. Drag the driver onto kext_utility.
7. Enter your password
8. Let it install

Thanks for your info,
I have a Zotac GTS 250 1GB and am having no luck getting dual monitors running.
Im on 10.6.6 and followed your instructions perfectly but no joy.
I have 2 monitors plugged in, one dvi and other vga. BIOS, bootloader and white Apple loading screen all show on vga monitor but once desktop kicks in, screen switches over to dvi monitor and vga screen goes to sleep.
In system profiler all info is correct except saying eVGA instead of Zotac.
Any ideas how to sort this out, thanks.
