First time hackint0sher almost done!
Hey guys, I have been reading up on installing OSX on a PC for quite some time. I am interested in getting into iPhone app development so I finally decided to give it a shot. I have an Acer Aspire 5745 here are the specs:
Processor (CPU)
Type : Intel® Core™ i5-450M Mobile Processor
Speed : 2.4GHz
Cache : 3MB Intel® Smart Cache
Chipset
Mobile Intel® HM55 Express
Memory
4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1066 SDRAM
Graphics Card
Integrated Intel® HD Graphics (Microsoft® DirectX® 10.0 support)
I followed the iBoot-Supported+Multibeast tutorial. The first thing I did was I loaded iBoot and partitioned my hard drive into 2 partitions, one partition I created as HFS+ and the other I created as FAT and I changed it to the GUID partition table.
I first installed OSX on the 100gb HFS+ partition which went off without a hitch. I am writing this post from the OSX partition right now.
I then installed Windows 7 x86 onto the 400gb partition. I booted into Windows just fine as well.
So now I have OSX and Windows 7 both running off the same hard drive on my laptop and I just have a few questions to finalize my build.
Firstly, the only way I can boot into OSX right now is by inserting the iBoot-Supported disk and selecting OSX from the Chameleon screen. If I boot my computer without the iBoot disc in, it just boots right into Windows 7 without asking me. I assume that I have to somehow install Chameleon as a replacement for my current Bootloader, I have read some tutorials and tried a few things but I can't seem to get it to work.
Lastly, I was wondering how to get my audio to work. When I download the audio drivers for Win7 they come up as Realtek High Definition Audio Drivers so I tried googling for Realtek audio drivers for OSX but I couldn't find anything, I also am not sure how to install a driver on OSX.
If anyone could address those 2 issues it would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks in advance!
