A Few After Install Questions With Kalyway 10.5.2
First off I want to say Thank You for all the previous posts that I have scoured over for the past week as I learned how to install OSX Leopard on my AMD.
Now, I have just a couple questions of my own.
1. I was able to install Kalyway 10.5.2 on a 8GB Micro SDHC card because none of my hard drives would show up as available partitions. Is this because they are all SATA drives? Do I need to get an IDE drive for OSX? I cannot have any Sata drive plugged in at all or I get the dreaded waiting for root device.
2. After running Leopard successfully for about 1 day, my PS2 Keyboard no longer works. I have tried resetting the PC numerous times to no avail. I get lights on the keyboard during boot and also a steady light while in leopard, but no keys work.
I built my own PC and these are the specs:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000 Brisbane 2.6GHz Socket AM2 65W Dual-Core
MSI K9A2GM-FIH AM2+/AM2 AMD 780G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
HITACHI Deskstar P7K500 HDP725050GLA360 (0A35415) 500GB 7200 RPM
LITE-ON 20X DVD±R DVD Burner Black IDE Model DH-20A4P-04 - OEM
4GB Ram 1066...
For those out there with similar specs, the Kalyway 10.5.2 install Works 100% (Audio, Ethernet, Video ect) I only have the 2 mentioned issues, and I would really like to get the install on a hard drive of sorts. It is sluggish on Micro SDHC
I know everybody hates noobs posting questions, but please be nice and I will hopefully be able to give back as this is my first time getting into the Hackint0sh scene.
Update: Ok, I just booted into Leopard again and my keyboard is working great! Strange...
Now my only question stands: Is there any reason why I can't load my Leopard onto any of my 3 Sata hard drives? Not only can I not install it on any of them, I can't even boot from my USB install of Leopard if any of them are plugged into the mobo...
I either get waiting for root device when trying to install with HDD plugged into Sata #1 or I can't find it with Disk Utility when HDD is plugged into Sata #2.
I'm thinking my MOBO is just not compatible with Leopard. (MOBO spec is in previous post)
Any Help/Suggestions? THANKS!
Bump... Nobody knows why my system does not like Sata? My next step is replace my 2 hard drives with IDE drives or find a sata to IDE cable...
Seems like a simple solution... Others are using sata drives with OSX86 right?
