error?
EDIT: sorry, this belongs in the Leopard section :$
Hi there
im trying to install ideneb 10.5 on my hp pavillion desktop pc but i think there is a problem, might be not.
the problem is that i burned the dmg file on a dvd and booted up from it. the darwin boot loader took over, the screen turned white, apple logo appeared on screen and after 10 seconds the little wheel began to spin under the apple logo.
so far so good, but now it begins, or rather stops... the wheel under the apple logo stopped spinning, like it freezed totally. no signs of dvd activity, no signs of hard disk activity...
even though i´ve read on a manual... :
b) introduce the leopard installation disk and boot up from it. Now we have to wait untill there appears a menu on screen from which we have to choose language during the installation. (this can take quite long, so be patient!)
you might think that Im a noob that after 5 minutes waiting creates an account and post a question without using the search function but the truth is that I did... I waited about an half an hour / 45 minutes for the screen to unfreeze, but it seemed like it got stuck there.
is this normal that it takes so long? or do I have to wait longer than 45 minutes?
thanks already!
