Dual boot with XP already installed on 1005HA?
I'm sure this has been posted many times, but I've been searching for days on how to installed ideneb on my 1005HA with XP already installed. I have a second 32gb partition setup and ready to install ideneb, but don't want to mess up the XP partition I already have. I've found tons of guide on how to install, but none address this specific situation. I have an Acronis backup of the XP partition, so I can restore that if that would make the installation easier. Thanks for any help.

Yes, I agree. The information/guide is already available but people just don't want to read and look for it.
Cheers

As I said, I've found many, many guides to install. But none I found specifically dealt with XP already installed on the 1005HA.

looked it up and this the specific thread i was talking about:
ok i got it to work. took me a while to set it up and several reinstalls. i used this guide here. Triple/Quad-Boot Your PC With Windows, Ubuntu, & Mac OSX | Windows 7 | Windows Tools, Help & Guides started of with windows xp then windows 7. after that i installed osx but got some got some boot0: error. tried this pressing enter after each cmd: boot with install disk and pressed "F8", Typed "diskutil list", Typed "fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0" <== use "rdisk" with your disk number here !!!, Typed "p" to verify which partition is for MacOSX (1, 2, 3, etc.), Typed "f 3" <== use your partition number here !!, Typed "write", Typed "y" (yes you are sure), Type "exit" (to quit). after this i was able to recover the Chameleon boot loader. last installed ubuntu in my last partition in ext 4 and mount / under advance partition to create. now this is real important! changed to install grub boot loader in ubuntu / partition. finished install and and whenever i boot ill boot Chameleon which will give me 4 OS choices. 2 windows ntfs, osx and linux. if i select linux it will launch grub loader where you can launch ubuntu. hope i wasn't to confusing and best of luck if anyone is to attempt this.
good luck and the link is: http://mintywhite.com/vista/triplequ...buntu-mac-osx/
