    Default dell mini 10v update 10.6.3 problem

    hi all

    i have a dell mini 10v running snow leopard 10.6.2, but silly me i click ok to upgrade and now my netbook only shows an error page saying i need to restart . i belive its upgraded to 10.6.3 but is there any way i can get it back to how it was or is it a whole new reinstall?

    Umm...that's not alot to go on, the restart message is a KP but from what I can't say. Try booting with -s -f if that gets you to the desktop reinstall your kext for your particular setup with the exception of perhaps sleep. If you can't boot in with those switches you can copy your 10.6.2 kext over manually, repair permissions, rebuild caches. Also you can try booting with -v and seeing if maybe it's just some kext like sleep and if it is delete it. Hope this helps.

    sorry for the short description i took a picture but cant up load it. its the loding screen but has typing down it and one part says mac OS version not yet set and kernal version: darwin kernel version 10.3.0.

    also coping over the kext 10.6.2 will that just be by usb?

    i tried shift s , f and v but nothing anything else i can try or is it a full reset

    Yea from USB, also to use flags like -S on boot hit the space bar that should bring you to a prompt then enter the flags. Hope this helps

    tried the space bar by clicking and holding it down but still goes to the same screen?

    i feel that my chances are looking low.
