Considering new motherboard...any ideas?
Hey,
I'm considering purchasing a new motherboard after countless attempts trying to install OS X on my desktop with no avail.
I've tried using iAtkos v1.0i, iAtkos v5.0i, iAtkos v7.0i and Kalyway to install OS X aswell as following this tutorial.
EDIT: When i used iAtkos vX.Xi, i would always get a "Still waiting for root device error", aswell as Kalyway, when i used the Tutorial, it would seem to be working fine, but then i would get an error, before i even get to the setup that tells me i need to restart my computer, and the process would repeat itself.
My current setup is: Windows Vista Ultimate Service Pack 1 (build 6001)
Asus Striker Extreme, with latest bios update.
3.30 gigahertz Intel Core2 Duo
4 SATA HDD's and 2 IDE.
2 dvd burner's.
NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT
D-Link AirPlus DWL-G520 Wireless PCI Adapter(rev.B) and D-Link DWA-556 Xtreme N PCIe Desktop Adapter
Memory:
Slot 'DIMM_A1' has 2048 MB
Slot 'DIMM_A2' has 2048 MB
Slot 'DIMM_B1' has 1024 MB
Slot 'DIMM_B2' has 2048 MB
Any ideas how i can get this configuration up and running?
Is any of my current hardware stopping me from installing OS X?
or..
Can you suggest a motherboard that will accommodate my current hardware and allow me to install OS X?
Thanks in advance
paxxxor.

Reason: added why iAtkos and Kalyway didn't work.
