    Default Compaq Presario SR1903WM

    Hi guys, hope ur having a good one.
    i have a presario here and i really dont use it anymore i was just wondering if i could install any version of mac on it. Following are the specs.

    Motherboard manufacturer's name: Asus A8N-LA
    Processor:Sempron (P) 3200+ 1.8 GHz
    RAM: 768 MB DDR1 (upgraded some myself)
    HDD: 80 Gb IDE
    Drive: HP-dvd 1260
    Audio:Realtek ALC 883 chipset
    Video: EVGA GeForce 8500 GT 512 Integrated memory
    Network:Integrated 10/100 Base-T networking interface (i think nforce not sure which one is it though)

    wish i knew a little more about all these drivers jeje... Well thanks in advance for ur help guys!

    Hi,
    You can dl CPU-Z to check your hardware. You can try iAtkos, Ideneb or iPC. Maybe a bit slow on your specs but you might like it.

    and if u may help me on that which drivers do i need to install???
    and which version of them should i use??

    Check your BIOS settings to see if you have SATA to AHCI. You can start with Ideneb 1.6. READ threads in this section, there are many settings posted for starting installation selections. TRY first, then post your questions.

    unfortunately i don't have that option in my bios what else?

    That is what I am afraid of, and that is why I asked you to check first. Your nForce chipsets may not be fully AHCI supported. Try Ideneb first then if you can not get to OSX installation screen then post your error.

    AHCI is a controller allowing your SATA drive to have 2 importants features which is HotPlugging (= allow you to plug your drive without turn off the system) and Native Command Qeuing (= allow your disk to be access faster -like a suffle mode play in a cd (?))

    im' trying to install ideneb 1.6 as u told me too i booted with the -v command and it stays waiting for root device
