Checking Compatibility for Dell Precision M2400
Hey everyone,
I'm hoping someone here who is more knowledgeable about installing Hackintosh on a laptop can lend me a hand. I'm new to this idea, but have been thinking about buying a Mac Book Pro for some time, but don't have the ability to spend 2500 bucks on a new laptop. I currently have a Dell Precision M2400 that would be a great Mac Book Pro.
My system configuration is:
Dell Inc. Precision M2400
Intell Core2 Duo T9600 @ 2.80GHz
Seagate SATA 7200RPM 250GB ST9250421ASG
Dell Wireless 1510 Wireless-N WLAN Mini-Card
Intel(R) 82567LM Gigabit Network Connection
NVIDIA Quadro FX 370M
MATSHITA DVD+-RW UJ862A
Ricoh MMC Host Controller
Broadcom USH w/swipe sensor
Dell Touchpad
Microsoft Usbccid Smartcard Reader (WUDF)
Intel(R) ICH8M-E/ICH9M-E SATA RAID Controller
Intel(R) ICH9 Family USB Universal Host Controller - 2934
IDT High Definition Audio CODEC
Ricoh 1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller
Broadcom Trusted Platform Module (A2), v1.2
I've looked on a few other sites, and from what i can tell, I believe the processor, and wireless card should be fine. I'm not clear about the video card, and audio though.
I'm also thinking about using an OCZ VERTEX Series 60GB SATA II SSD drive, but not sure about compatibility or Trim support.
I'm planning on buying a retail version of Snow Leopard and then Lion, and would like to be able to upgrade to Lion.
Any guidance, or advice would be very helpful, and appreciated!
Thanks in advance
