Can't install Snow Leopard
A few months ago, I had it installed on my Desktop PC but it broke so I bought a cheap laptop with the hope of dual booting it with Vista.
It's not a great laptop, infact, it's pretty terrible. It just runs Vista smoothly and I had hopes to install OSX on it aswell.
I've downloaded a good 6 .iso's and i've tried using DVDs and USBs with no luck.
Basically, I boot up to the DVD/USB and I get the first screen, I press -v and it comes up with some error (can't remember it). Am I doing something wrong?
The tutorials that i've looked at haven't been very good, they tell you about the installation but not about the preparation (bios, hard drive parititioning etc).
Here are my PC specs if it helps -
Can a staff member please fix the title, made a stupid mistake
Snow Leopard on a computer with only half a gig of ram!!! This isn't going to end well. Maybe 10.4 or 10.5 might be a better goal.
This is antiquated hardware even by the standards of three years ago.

Haha, it's a pretty old PC. Good runner though, originally had Windows 7 on it
