can you suggest one? cause I downloaded 'Snow.L.10.6.1-10.6.2.SSE2.SSE3' and it didn't boot up after install.. said I need to turn my PC off and turn it back again...

The one you have is one of the best SL distro already. If you like to run Leopard instead of Snow then there are Ideneb or iAtkos.

Hi,
To tell you the truth, it would be hard to find a tutorial for you as I don't recall coming across one lately.
However, if you insist on working with the SL you have then there are some options.
The error, KP, that you got is AFTER you're successfully install SL and at first system reboot? You can also boot with options -x -v for error message.

Since you have a Intel Celeron D you have to use a patched kernel as well. As a Celeron D isn't a true Intel Core micro-architecture series. So use modbin. Hope this helps
