Ok, so here's the deal, looks like it loaded. I pulled the thumbdrive and wouldn't boot so put the thumbdrive back in and all was good until i selected the drive that I loaded osx to. It seemed like it was loading then again no video. It sounded like there was system activity but no video again.

You should still be getting Vesa as I mentioned before but with Hackint0sh things don't always work as planned . For Video you can try two thing:

    1. Open up com.apple.Boot.plist for Chameleon and set this

    Code:
     <key>Graphics Enabler</key>
                 <string>Y</string
                 <key>Graphics Mode</key>
    	<string>1024x768x32</string>
    	<key>Kernel</key>
    	<string>mach_kernel</string>
    	<key>Kernel Flags</key>
    	<string>arch=i386</string>
    2. Install a Kext for Video then repair permission, and rebuild caches if it don't work rinse and repeat using another kext.

You've been a great help. I will try that tomorrow or this weekend. That should let you have some time to play with your new toy and get away from the frustration of leading a noob. I'm sure i will have lots of questions when i try again. Thanks again to you and Ratvn for all the help thus far.

No problem man . oK one more thing you could do is type in GTX 260 EFI String and see if you get any hits then add that to com.apple.Boot.plist. That or NVEnabler would be your best option the first I mentioned is more temporary appropiate. Hope this helps and Good Luck

Ok so here's where I'm at. I have loaded and tried both my flash drive boot loader and the iATKOS v7 and both seem to load fine but when i got into my hd to boot, I get it to start loading then black screen. Everything seems like it's running but there seems to be something with the gtx 260 that isn't liking the hack. I've read on this guys thread about a possible fix but there's no way that I can get into my hack to even try this. is there a way that I can do this hack onto my bootloader? here's the link to the guy's thread [GUIDE] GeForce GTX 260 in Snow Leopard - InfiniteMac OSx86 Community now that being said, i throw some big words like bootloaders and such in there but that doesn't mean i know anything about it so the more "Dumbed" down it can be the better.

    Hi there,
I took a look at your link, and they did mention that they have to remove all the NV kexts from the installer to finish installation. (so that the kexts/driver won't make your video card go black).
Since you got it on your USB flash, maybe you could try it.
The terminal command is in the first section.

    Regards,

I NEED HELP TOO PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! i have the same exact problem!
So i have followed along most of the instruction you guys have given. My problem began with the kernel panic that chuckyb had earlier in the thread. but i followed along and deleted the DSDT file and installed the new version of chameleon. 2.0 rc4. EVERYTHING works EXCEPT wen i get to the apple logo part. it does the loading thing and then it bring me to a grey screen where all i can see is my mouse cursor in the corner. i have left it for 30 mins, but still nothing. then when i move it, it jus shows me the rainbow ball loading thingy. ANY IDEA as to wat i can do? PLEASE HELP!!!!!
