Default Bootloader on Intel atom n270 desktop w/ GMA 950

I've successfully installed Snow Leopard on a Dell Mini 10v using the gizmodo guide.

I now have a new box - an Intel Desktop Board D945GSEJT
With integrated Intel® Atom™ processor N270 w/ a GMA 950 Intel Desktop Board D945GSEJT - Overview with pretty much exactly the same configuration.... but can not use the same gizmodo guide to boot from the usb.

I've updated to the latest BIOS from intel - 0045 [JT94510H.86A] but still can not get it to boot. I've also tried to load the dell BIOS with no success.

Can someone point me into the right direction as to booting from a USB or DVD if necessary.

    Thanks!

quick update: got it to install by taking out the hard drive (following this guide: Method 4: Direct Install from Mac to SSD/HDD | Guides | OS X | mechdrew ) and doing a direct install and the used netbookinstaller.

Now it starts and boots but just freezes and tells me to hold the power button to restart.

You could try -x -v for possible error message. Some custom selection/patches problem? Some more clues to figure out?
Hold power to restart is just a hard reset itself and doesn't offer much beside a KP.

Thanks - I've actually tried that. I've now got it to where it boots up and loads a blue screen after I've taken some specific 10v kext files. But now its just blue and the finder will not load. It seems like its in extended desktop mode. I can SSH to it and even screen share - but that works only for 1 min before I get locked out. The screen share also just shows a blue screen but no GUI.

So its stuck on something but not too sure what. I've tried to disable the trackpad, airport

Just found this link yesterday for 10.5 will give the patches a try as this is the same box.Intel D945GSEJT - InsanelyMac Forum

You could install NetbookMaker video kexts, but would need to edit Boot.plist for correct boot options and kernel.

It's not clear as to what you've installed. Is it the vanilla OSX from Mac to your hdd without modification?
Or you did install some support/fixes files? Kernel?

I used a 10.6.3 retail disc and then used NetBookMaker 0.8.4 & copied over the dell mini 10v kext files
