I built a hackintosh with the hardware recommended by Mr. Pash on this site, successfully installed Snow Leopard, & RebelEFI as the bootloader. Here's the problem: SL runs just fine (it can upload OS X updates, install programs, etc.) but ONLY if
1) a SL intall disk is in the optical drive
2) and even then ONLY in safe mode.
When trying to boot from the hard drive without a CD inserted, the Apple logo comes up with the rotating circle, then after ~ 10 seconds the computer shuts down.
The BIOS settings are correct. I've tried a 1000 different combinations of bootloaders and startup modes, always with the same result. What the heck am I missing?
Thanks for any insight.
P.S. Support from Rebel has been comically bad.
