Boot Kernel Panic after install Retail SL
Been researching the hackintoshability of a Dell Optiplex 330. Figured out is had same components as other successful installs so got retail SL DVD. Used Chameleon 2 RC3 for boot loader, inserted retail DVD and went through install steps.
went to disk utilities and erased XP, over wrote zeros, erase again, check partition to make GUID, was already. Then did system Profile-
MAc Model - Optiplex 330
Intel Core 2 Duo
Bus speed 3.2 ghz
Boot ROM A03
SMC version 1.13f3
GPU built in
64mb shared VENDOR - Intel (0x8089)
Device ID 0x29c2
SATA - Intel ICH7 AHCI
Controller Apple USBUHCI
Seemed ok, so went on with install process
Completed install, reboot, hang, so I turn off and restart machine
Insert Bootloader - BootSLv3wifi CD for chameleon
Got the display with CD and Snow Leopard selection.
Select Snow Leopard
Goes to Kernal Panic and need to turn off screen
Debugger called <Panic> 0x293e3d should have 2 threads, but only found 3 for Die 0"@/SourceCache/xnu/xnu-1456.1.25/0sfmk/i386/cpu_threads.c:1131
and a bunch more that is hidden by the kernal panic screen
Well, two weeks on and I have an actual working Leopard install. Still not betting more than kernel panic with snow leopard. Used iATKOS v7 to get EFI, vanilla kernel, and software update. IT runs like a mac should.

Dell is running stable for days on end with no know issues. Loaded 10.5.7 on install and Software Update took it to 10.5.8 and all upgrades to iTune, Quicktime and the rest of installed software.
I have a second SATA drive I am know trying to get SL on. Installed just fine, but not blessed or what needs to make it magic. On reboot at install I did command line -v -f. Got a Kernel panic on it. All files are on the HD, some have circle slash through them when viewed in Leopard.
HOW DO I GET SL to run on this hardware? Anybody know of a guide, or is this still too soon after release for there to be good database of successful installs?
