Black Screen When Booting
Hey forum users, I've run into some difficulty and was hoping someone could help me out there. Here's a rundown
evga GTX260 core216
core i5 750
4 gb 1333 ddr
Possibly irrelevant info: I've been able to install iAtkos V7 10.5.7 but haven't been able to upgrade.
I've been following tonymacx86s post here: tonymacx86's P55 Hackintosh Blog: OS X Snow Leopard Install using Retail DVD For P55 Motherboards and Intel Core i5 and i7.
Using the default files he has posted I have been able to run chameleon of my usb using -s then fsck -y. Snow Leopard has been installed. New Kernel has been copied
Now when I try to boot (using -legacy -x32)
I get to here;
NVDANV50MAL Loaded and Registered
DSMOS has arrived
ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start - waitForService(resource ..something something
couldn't get the rest because the vid I took was cut off.
After that the monitor displays a VGA symbol, flashes, then turns to black. The computer is still running..
Now when I boot the installer from USB I get the exact same message (ACPI_SMC etc...) the screen flashes and I'm sent to the SL Installer which to me means the display is not working.
Does anyone know of any solution to this or possible workaround that do not involve another video card as that would be last resort for me (I'd have to go and buy a new one)
Remove these kexts and restart
First connect to other MAC OS X and then go to ur non working snow leopard hard disk and then...
Go in extentions and type this in search...
u will get some kexts just cut and paste them in ur pendrive.
same for this also e.g. nvdanhal50.kext or nvdanresman.kext etc
