Before you begin ... There isn't a keyboard connected to your computer.
Hey guys, I just installed Snow Leopard on my Compaq Presario CQ 40.
Everything was fine, but at the end of the installation after welcome screen,
it cant continue due to error: "Before you begin ... there isn't a keyboard connected to your computer. Connect your keyboard now"
I have no idea what to do, everybody who tried to connect additionaly keyboard via USB were not succed with this.
I found several forums with this question, but without any helpful answer
One time I found this:
boot into the Install dvd, hit F8, type -s
/sbin/mount -uw /
But it is not working for me, and even after command passwd root I get wrong command or something like that.
At the installation menu, mouse and keyboard are still working.
Please any idea what to do? Would be good to finally fix this problem for everybody.
OK, problem fixed, i forgot to customize installation and add ps2 to install.
Working OK, but graphics, sound, cdrom, usb, wifi not working, have to check it
i have the same problem on a desktop with
the install works fine, with 10.6 and i can even type when i boot -s
but when i get to the welcome screen after install i can move the mouse but it wont let me click anything, the keyboard is also dead, not even the caps lock light lights up
