Dear Sirs,
I'm trying to convert my netbook emachines em250 (basically Acer) to OSX.

I'm progressing well but I'm having a lot of problems with wireless.

I found device id (2b) and vendor (168c) and I tried several experiments. with last one I did the following actions:

- install atherosfix.kext
- change the io8011family.kext
- reboot

Now I have an 'airport' device but I cannot be able to join any network.

From now on how I could proceed?

I am in the same situation. I know this machine is basically same as the Acer 250d netbook.

Have you made any progress on finding a working wifi driver?

hello, can you say me wich distro are you using and the personalization at installing it, because i install too tiger 10.5.6, and i cant have at least appleairport like you, i have the same hardware, thanks for your help.
