Hello guys, I need some help here. I installed iDeneb v1.6 10.5.8 Lite Edition, and I almost had it right this time, but there's an issue I'm not quite sure how to deal with. So I installed it, and it installed successfully. As you can see here.


Then I somehow get stuck on this screen after the installation.


So I turned it off manually, and popped it back on. Successful boot, with Chameleon v2.


And then it just got stuck there. So I turned it back off, and it did it instantly which told me right off the back something wasn't right. So I started up with messages, and I get this.



Here are the specs of my laptop.

Intel Pentium T4500 (2.3GHz)
Nvidia GT320M 1GB VDDR3
4GB DDR3 1066MHz
320GB SATA 5400RPM
Nforce 700 chipset, I don't remember which one I have.

Luckily, I got it to boot up to the start screen, but it doesn't mean anything to me if it doesn't run at all. Please, if you can, help.

Right here is where I think I messed up

-AppleSMBIOS 1333MHz (DDR3)

I agree. That would not be correct. From the error message, it starts with wrong model ID/config. from SmBIOS.
Your screen said iDeneb 1.3, not 1.6.
You could take it to SL for better hardware support and performance, as 10.5.5 is fairly dated.

Alright thanks, Do you know the names of any distros that you could send in a PM?

You could iAtkos S3 or SnowOSX. If your BIOS has option for SATA to AHCI then it's better.
There is a thread by smart18dharmit that you could review for installation information.
It may not be your exact hardware but there are plenty useful stuffs.

Hey guys, back again. This time I tried to install iATKOS S3 10.6.3, but this time all I'm getting is Kernel panics. I tried installing with 32-bit mode as default and cpus=1.

EDIT: I think I'm going to get the retail DVD and use Empire EFI to get this to work on my PC. Distros don't seem to work for me for some reason with this laptop. If you can help though, feel free.

Could I get some help please? If this doesn't work I am going to try to boot from a retail DVD and Empire EFI.

1. Clear your partition for a clean reinstall.
2. S3 selections are good, but try with no video, no audio.
You can always install them afterward. Get pass that KP first.

Success, finally! Now all I need is to get these video, audio, and networking drivers working. Im also having a problem with my laptop keyboard as it didn't detect it when it first started up. I'm also having an issue with connecting my USB devices, but I saw a fix for that in the installation.

Glad to hear you got it now.
That is much better than Leopard.
For kb/mouse, VoodooPS2 kext needs to be installed.
Audio, video and network would need kexts.

Alright, I'm going to reinstall with the Voodoo PS/2

I've looked all over the place for kexts for my GT320M and there are none available. I can retrieve the hardware ID's if someone can make them.
