Hi guys,

this is my first post!

I ordered the Asus Eee PC 1005PE. Because iam a big fan of Mac osX it would be great to use it on my netbook, too. I tried to find sth. bout the 1008PE but all threads i found were about 1005ha with ATOM 270.

Here are the specs:

# Intel Atom N450 (1.6 GHz) Prozessor
# 10 Zoll WSVGA LED Display, Webcam
# 1 GB RAM (after upgrade 2GB), 250 GB HDD
# 6-cell , Multi Touchpad
# WLAN-n,

So i saw the 1005ha with n270 processor working.
Is it possible to do this with the n450 processor?
Where can i find a list of OSX netbook devices? i already found this one Mac OS X Netbook Compatibility Chart (Just get a Dell Mini 10v) | Boing Boing Gadgets , but i guess it's not up to date

I have had limited success. I was able to install OSX w/ the use of RebelEFI.
But was not able to get it to boot w/o RebelEFI. I have the free version of RebelEFI, I know that might be reason to flame me because I was looking for a way to get OSX onto generic hardware.

I've created a boot USB stick w/ SnowLeopard Retail DVD. Using NetbookInstaller_0.8.3_R2, but...
I can boot it, but once it goes into OSX base system boot up it kernel panics.

When I had OSX running via Rebel I had nothing working. Vid was wack, eth was wack, web cam showed in iChat but was wack.
Needless to say I'm trying some other things.

I might like to dual boot but the only thing I like Win 7 for is that Hearts game.

I have been working o the eee pc 1005pe for a while now. It's on SL 10.6.2 with no problems other than no graphics acceleration. I swapped in a DW 1390 for wireless, a 500GB hd and 2GB of ram. I also compiled a (mostly) fixed dsdt (there are still 4 warnings but no errors, blah, blah) but I haven't seen any particular benefit so far. I would like to spend a bit of time on bootloaders soon and then maybe look into how I can contribute to the gpu issue.

You said SL 10.6.2 run on your eeepc 1005pe ... How did you install it?

I've tryied some different ways but I have problems to fix the best way to install os x on it.

Could you, if you remember, explain me your way to do it.
