AMD - snow leopard install problem (with screen prints) :-)
Hi, i just like to say this is my first post and saying hello =)
I have a AMD laptop (see screen print for exacts)
and i have got snow leopard 10.6.2 the actual file name of the iso i downloaded is...
Snow_Leopard_10.6.1-10.6.2_SSE2_SSE3_Intel_AMD_by_Hazard.iso
I run the EFI cd and change the cd to the above DVD and press F5 (quick note here... the writing under the hdd and cd image goes all blurry...) but i press enter on the cd and text flys up the screen and freezes on the "untime in nanoseconds" see screen print
What am i doing wrong guys as i have gone through countless CDs and DVDs.. is it the image... is it the boot cd... is it the wind...
Actual Laptop is a PackardBell LJ61
4Gb Ram
im at wits end and ive googled to my eyes bled. Any help and guidance would be appriciated and respected..

hey guy, if you are using a distribution, like hazard you can't use a cdboot, you just put your hazard dvd into you dvdrom and bootup.
what video card do you have?

im using a ATI Radeon 3200 Graphics.
I see a lot of "retail" options to download but from googling im under the impression they wont word on AMD and need a released distro? is this not the case?
-
also...
while im waiting for replies etc, im downloading "Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard (Final Retail)" but noticed its in DMG format, again googled this and noticed there are mixed results on a burning program for pc's... any suggestions ? ill go have a nosey in the mean time..
EDITED

so... downloaded the retail
run the efi amd disk...
swapped with the retail disk
lots of text see screen print http://www.theeasypc.co.uk/retail1.jpg
Then the pc gets to this part of the text and reboots

i do notice from the last screen print that it says near the bottom "NVRAM is not supported by this system" is this a problem?
EDITED...
Going to try this one in the mean time...

you can use retail, there is no problem in this pictures, this is shown because there is a lot of kext (drivers) that are not use in your machine but is necessary into the cdboot to make it compatible.
there are some solutions for ati 3200hd.
does it frezzes in that screen?

yes the laptop completely locks up, hdd light stops flashing, and i have to hold the power button down for 5 seconds to power off. all keys become un-responsive
ps
Thank you for your responses
What is my next step?
