AMD Phenom II X4 955, HD 5770: OSXable? [more inside].
Alright, so I've had a white Macbook for 3 and a half years, to be updated to a Macbook Pro after the next update, which should come around soon according to the Macrumors Buyer's Guide.
However, in September and during an overpowering moment of foolishness, I decided I wanted a desktop PC as well, and considering that the (upper-range) iMac was too expensive for my tight budget, I bought a PC, without even thinking about Hackintoshs.
Well, now I'm pretty much stuck with this beast, and I've been doing some research lately about OSx86, and several articles have led me to believe that an installation of OS X (I have a retail SL copy at home from when it was originally released) might be feasible (modbin kernel, etc.). However, I have just moved to a new place in the country where we won't be having Internet access for several months (the ISP is having trouble with the cables or something), and the only access to the Internet I have ATM is when I'm at University. Therefore, I can't really go and try this or that all while doing research on the side.
My question therefore is if my system is hackintoshable at all, or if I should just give up hope.
Please note that I have three monitors. If I couldn't get to work all of them, I'd still be happy (but obviously happier if everything worked
).
I have uploaded a Speccy export as a .pdf with everything there is to know about my system. In summary, as explained in the title, it's an AMD Phenom II X4 955 CPU, a Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5770 GPU, G.Skill DIMM 4 GB DDR3-1600 Kit RAM, and an ASUS M4A89GTD-PRO/USB3 (AM3) Mainboard.
Link to my specs.
Please give me hope (and tips
).

I have the same processor and I have many problems, I don't know how to install... If you think that 5770 ATI is a beast, you are wrong
.

Nah, I don't think the GPU is a beast, I just used that word as a generic expression for my computer
