AMD Hackintosh Hangs on Grey Apple Logo Screen
I have followed many guides to the T, and have not had much success, including: (Guide) How To Install Snow Leopard Retail On AMD PC OsX86 - InsanelyMac Forum all with the same result and was wondering if anyone could help me out.
I get to the Chameleon loader, and I hit enter to boot in to snow, however at this point it simply displays the Grey screen with the Apple logo, and hangs here indefinitely.
So, I restart and I typed -v prior to hitting enter on the Chameleon loader, and it displays page after page of extensions, and then it goes to a blank black screen and does not do anything from here. Because it displays the last bit of information so quickly, I had to get a video camera to record what it said at the very end, and watch it in slow motion, lol.
It says (word for word):
efi_inject_get_devprop_string NULL trying stringdata
No SMBIOS replacement found.
Patched DMI Table.
Loaded HFS+ File: [DSDT.aml] 17219 byes from 42395ce.
Patched ACPI version 2 DSDT
Starting Darwin x86
Like I said earlier, it does this all so quickly that I had to take a picture of this text page to be able to read it, then it immediately goes to a black screen and hangs.
The only thing that was not quite exact when I followed said instructions was when I opened up my com.apple.boot.plist to add ".text7" at the end of it, there was no "mach_kernel" text already there. It simply said, <string></string> .
My system specs are:
AMD Phenom II 840
Asus M4A87TD
4 Gigs DDR3 1600 Corsair ram
500 gig sata 6 HD
CD/DVD Sata drive
Any ideas would be great!
