Hi there,
You could talk to HP all day long and possibly nothing will happen. That nForce 430 is not fully AHCI supported, so that option won't be there, maybe?
I got a link with information of working version and short installation guide for HP model that is very similar to yours.
Let me see if I can dig it up.

Hi,
I don't think it's the version, but more of which one has the correct chipsets driver for your nforce 430.

Hi,
About the chipsets, it is part of the motherboard south bridge. Changing for something different? very hard.
The version V4a does have some good drivers. It does come with nForce driver, but doesn't say which one. Hopefully it's the one you need.
Cheers

If you almost have V4a done then go with it and see what happens.
