Default RESOLVED: Wont boot 32 bit!

WHERE does Chameleon get its boot info from

The ONLY way I can boot into 32 bit is to hit F8 and type arch=i386

Ive edited the com.apple.Boot.plist in the default area, ive added it to Extra/ directory (as thats where chameleon looks apparently - but there wasnt one in there) - it just ignores me!

Ive put in arch=x32, x32 -legacy, arch=i386, none of it works

    Please advise.

Chameleon came with iAtkos S3v2 - Where else could it be going ? EFI? some other bootloaders installed??

Googling IVe found there could be a bug??

"Nice work but there does appear to remain a bug that has cropped up since RC2.
Specifically, the bootloader no longer finds /Extra/com.apple.Boot.plist on multi-boot systems using the windows bootloader with chain0. It last worked in v2RC1 but got buggered in RC2, RC3 and still in RC4. Everything else in the /Extra hierarchy is loaded fine – just not the c.a.B.p file. This is very inconvenient when needing 32 bit operation since these automatically boot 64 bit. I read that someone determined that the c.a.B.p file is only loaded if the booting partition is both primary AND active."

I have windows 7 on the first partition as i dual boot

    Hi
Thanks, yeah that's all ive read in teh faq's, readme files, forums, Chameleons blog etc. etc.

However, Ive resolved it - Ive installed osx so many times, with different bootloaders I had a copy of chameleon on two partitions - I edited the boot file for the windows partition and pointed it to the other partition and it worked! Finally!

    Hi

I have the exact same problem as RugbyPete had. The only problem is, I don't really get how he solved it. I'm using Chameleon v2 RC4 so obviously the problem is caused because of the bug. Is there a way to solve the bug? Or do I have to use another bootloader or something? I've tried setting the partition primary and active but it will still only boot in 64-bit mode. Can anybody help?

basically dont edit the file in the normal place, instead copy it to the correct place for chameleon

Chameleon uses the boot plist in another directory - extentions i believe but check their faq as i cant remember anymore!
