    Default Same Problem :-(

    hello friends,

now I'm on the battlefield, had a long time before a Powerbook ....
I had no experience with hackintosh so far, that is new territory for me.

I tried efi bootloader, chameleon rc4, darwin...
By trying darwin than osx86 image loading--> message disabling cpu and hangs up
By trying efi than osx86 image loading--> its loading something for few seconds and screen stays black and everything stop
By trying chameleon than osx86 image loading--> yeah i see the gray background and the apple logo in the middle of the screen and than my acer reboot again. I tried it a view times, but always the same....

Shoud i change something in the bios?? The bios of my acer is very bad, low adjustable options. Just 3 or 4 options.

someone an idea? I'm sorry for my bad english but I hope you could understand me.

    Thank you very much

    Bye

It's easy to understand you, maybe OSX wouldn't.

What chipsets? What i5? What method of installation?

What do you mean by false distribution?
    10.5.8 is Leopard, not SL.

Any of those could be installed if you know how to work it correctly. But there is not really any sense in installing those, as vanilla kernel would not support your cpu class/family up to 10.6.3.

As for 10.6.4 supporting, I would need to finish my Geekbench cpu/kernel benchmark comparison to know for sure.

    Thanks for your reply,
so i hope i understand u correctly, i need the 10.6.4 version for my cpu supporting, thats right??? or just the correct kernel after the installation for supporting my cpu.

i will try this on my older notebook perhaps it will work on it.

    Thank u very much.

There are system version and kernel version, and you should not mismatch them for a stable/performance OSX install.

    Default Hi

i've tried install it today again with iboot support...
with the options -x (safe mode) the installation screen's coming and can start it but it hangs up by 28min left and wait for ca. 20min there comes a screen "an error..you must restart your computer..." i've tried it some times but everytime the same....
Is there another way to find the exact error why the installation terminates?
This could perhaps help me further..

    Thanks everybody
I hope I'm not going to bother
