    Default Acer Aspire 5253-BZ893

    Just wondering if anyone has tried installing OSX on this particular laptop? or if it would even be possible.

    Specs -

    CPU- AMD DUAL CORE C-50
    GFX- AMD RADEON HD 6250
    RAM- 3GB DDR3
    HD- 250GB HDD
    OPTICAL DRIVE- DVD DL
    CARD READER- 2&1
    WLAN-802.11N
    WEBCAM-1.3 ACER CRYSTAL EYE
    BATT-6 CELL

    Oh, I saw Altheros in your output. This is a shitty chipset for network, at least if you want it to work on OSX. The other stuff might work. Still AMD is a bit more tricky.

    Well it has atheros ethernet chipset but the wireless is broadcom chipset.

    i tired to install the "snow leopard intel_amd_by_hazard" torrent but it just showed a bunch of weird colors on my screen and never did boot. lol

    Im happy with ubuntu right now but im always up for trying new things.

    What kind of weird colors? o.O Can you give some more details on that? This just interests me personaly.

    It was just like the install dvd didnt detect my screen or something, just a bunch of flickering colors, i even waited for a few minutes to see if it would boot up but nothing, just weird random azz colors on the screen.
