I didn't check the box that said ps/2 keyboard and ps/2 mouse in teh customise options, could that be it?
If so, is there a way to add from the dvd onto the partition without having to go through install and checking all those boxes again? Like a drag and drop?
I have a software called macdrive 8 that lets me browse and write to the mac partition, but it doesn't recognise the iatkos as a mac cd so I have no access to the kext there

Yep was just about to do that. Reinstalled with the ps/2 drivers.
This is my current install, its better than the rest of my tries, it shows text like normal, then shows some writing for like a few milliseconds, enough so I know thereis writing appearing, but not enough to distinguish what is says, then reboots.
I managed to boot into the system using the -x flag though
. Even the keyboard is working.
Standard bootloader thats ticked by default, something like agere.
kERNEL: PCj
PATCHES:
USB AND UUID Patches (not sure if they helped though)
DRIVERS: AHCI SATA, VoodooHDA (Haven't tested sound yet, will do now), VoodooPS/2, All 5 laptop drivers

That is very good.
Once in OSX, use disk utility to repair permission and see if you could boot without -x.
The default choice bootloader for that DVD is heavy mod. Sometimes, V2 RC4 standard is better.

Kernal panic was caused by me using voodoohda, I deleted that kext, and replaced it with the applehda kext downloaded from a different website. Although audio hasn't worked yet, will try to get it working. I'm just happy I managed to boot into it.
Thanks a lot guys, really appreciate your help

Well done!
