Check your BIOS settings if you have these.
ACPI enable, Power setting S3. Disable USB legacy, USB keyboard/mouse.
    Disable audio, network.

Boot DVD without any option first to see, if not then

    -x -v cpus=1 (and/or busratio=20)

see if you could get to the installer screen.

Hi, the only option I get in my BIOS is the option to choose ahci instead of IDE (which was done by default anyway), the only other option is to enable network boot, and to change boot order. This BIOS is very limited in options which I find disappointing.

Anyway, tried to boot without any options, it just went to the grey apple logo, but with no spinning wheel animation. It didn't even try to scan the dvd, it just stayed there.

I then tried it with the options you mentioned, first time without the busratio. I just got the USBF errors as shown in post #2. I tried this again, same problem.

I then tried it adding the busratio options. First time round I got a panic error

I then tried this again, and a third time, these last two times I got the error message in post #2.

Any chance you may have a bad burn....?

There have been times where this has happened to me, not often, but at least 2X with other distros.

Camzgon - I just did my 2nd reinstall and choose voodo sound this time instead of azahlia sound and the sound works great.

    Now everything works.....

    Have you tried Linux....?

You can dress it up to look like MAC, and its free, its open source and I feel by far its better than MAC.

Here is a snapshot of it -

MAC is neat and different, but if you install Ubuntu, everything will work far better than MAC and you'll be happy. (One exception, you wont have iTunes... )

How about everybody is in together on desktop. That is OSX, Windows and Linux and then nobody would complain.

The pictures are too small for detail.
Have you tried to set BIOS back to IDE with those mentioned boot options to see?
