    Default 10.6.3 DVD and Windows/Ubuntu

I picked up a copy of 10.6.3 with hopes of testing it out on my 1000HA. Initially I attempted to follow the mechdrew tutorial, until I realized that it would not work with the 10.6.3 DVD (CPU mismatch).

From there I tried using NetbookBootMaker 0.8.4 RC1 since I believe this was confirmed working by Meklort, however as I only have windows/ubuntu availible my best option was to use the .img file located in the zip archive, and I have not been able to create a bootable USB using this image. I was wondering, is it possible to use 0.8.4 without a mac involved?

From there I replaced the mach_kernel with a modified version, which simulated 10.6.2 to get around the CPU error, however even without this error I still got the reboot message. In this case, there was nothing in the background indicating the issue, as there was when I was getting the CPU mismatch message.

If someone could give suggestions regarding either approach they would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
