Will my laptop run Leopard?
Hi guys, I need to install Leopard 10.5.5 to run the Iphone SDK on my Sony Vaio SR. Will I be able to do it? My laptop isn't documented yet under http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.5.2 so I don't know if it will work. All I really need is the OS I guess so I don't need all the drivers to work. Perhaps just the barebone OS and network connectivity. My Sony Vaio SR uses a Intel C2D P400 and has 2gb of ram.

Pretty standard specs.
Sony Vaio VGN-SR12G
Intel C2D P8400
2GB DDR2 SDRAM
Mobile Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD
200 GB Serial ATA 5400rpm
13.3" wide (WXGA: 1280 x 800) TFT colour display (Clear Bright LCD: White LED)
Download a Distro? iatkos v5i, what's that? Will I be able to update to 10.5.5 with that? I was going to buy the Leopard retail 10.5.4 version and do the Bootloader BOOT-132 method. Sounds the easiest.

Bummer! The latest Intel integrated card won't run it? Perhaps I should download one of those "distros" and test it out first?

Well I research a bit and seems like you wont get QE/CI and will have problem with Screen Resolution, if you wanna try, go for iatkos or ideneb :/

Ok, I've searched up on Ideneb and can download it from a torrent site, though its going to take a long while. Are these as simple as downloading the ISO and burning it on a dvd and installing it like a normal retail OS? Will I need an extra partition? My current OS uses up my entire HD space.

Yeah you can install like a normal Retail, but will get lots of kext to customize, they just delete languages and stuff, You need a partition to install with at least 20GB
