Help with the DVD installation.
As the title says, I need help selecting drivers and fixes for iDeneb V1.4. But, its not as noobish as it may sound.
Deskop Name: Acer Veriton 7600G
Video: NVIDIA 32Mb (ASUS AGP V3800M) (PCI)
Chipset: Intel Springsdale-Gi865G and Intel 8280 IEB ICH5 (SSE2)
Sound: C-Media CMI8738 (PCI) and Realtek AC'97 (Built in)
Network: D-Link WDA-2320 (Wireless PCI) (BUT since D-Link sells Atheros Cards, the card can be known as Atheros AR5001X)
I have A PS/2 Keyboard and a USB Mouse.
I Have a built in Network card (wired) and video card, but I don't know the names and I don't use them.
Here's how it goes:
I select what I need, along with the Voodo Kernel, but everytime I get an error such as mDNS or dectected invalid rdmsr, I try to select different combinations (in customize and alt. ways of booting) and that doesn't seem to work.
This is what I typically select:
Chipset: ICHx Fixed
Kernel: Voodoo 10.5.6
Network: Wireless: Atheros Wifi Adapter
Fix: Cpus=1 -fix (I check this after it didn't work) and Seat Belt Fix
Does anyone know what to reccomend to select in customize?
(I will also give more info if needed)
