Default What is the proper way of doing this?

    Hi all,

I've been interested in the OSX86 movement for a while but have finally decided to take the plunge.

I don't want to add to the board yet another "how do I install X version on Y type of PC with Z specs" so I wanted to ask what the proper way was of finding help for my specific PC type? I have a pavillion dv7 and did a quick search + browse of the forums before posting, but found nothing terribly prudent. It seems everyone at least knows how to get started, and what image to use, but most of the guides/faqs I find on the net and blogs are about upgrading to 10.6 and they assume you have 10.5 installed on a seperate partition.

That being said, could someone politely guide me as to what info I need to post to get more help, and the correct way of doing so, to lessen the chance of getting flamed?

    Thanks very much,
    Opethfan89

    *bump*?

I hate to post the same question that I'm sure others have asked but I'm very anxious to try to start this OSX86 project and I just need some guidance to get started!

I downloaded iAtkos 10.5.7 but I can get the other ones too if needed!

    Thanks,
    Opethfan89
