Default Want to make sure I am ready...

    My setup: Core i5 750 @ 2.66Ghz, P55 UD3L mobo, Palit nVidia GTX 260, OCZ 2x2GB DDR3, Samsung 500GB HDD, OCZ ModXStream Pro OCZ600MXSP

I know Snow Leopard will install on this. Here is the guide I've been reading: tonymacx86 Blog: Intel Core i3/i5 Dual-Core Processors and Mac OS X

Is this a good one to follow? It SOUNDS pretty straight-forward. However, I have some questions: Will OS X act normal? Or will I have to funk with kernels and kexts and what-not after installation (I've no idea what those are)? And how about updating drivers and what-not? Would that all be normal? I know I've had a hell of a time getting the right graphics drivers for The Sims 3 for XP to run flawlessly.

Also, will OS X be 64-bit?

Anyways, some help would be great. I've been trying to use Ubuntu as a substitute to OS X, and it just doesn't cut it. And I'm tired of XP!

Don't know if you're ready until you try it.
You have a guide and are positive that it's good, so give it a shot.

Well I was hoping to figure out some things before giving it a shot tomorrow.

Edit: as for the 64-bit question, here's what I've learned; one must have sse3 (mine is), and 64-bit kernel. Idk how to get that. This page has shown a little bit of insight, but I'm still a bit lost in the terms http://netkas.org/?p=127
